DUCATI TEAM
COMPLETES GLORIOUS 2007 SEASON
Ducati
Marlboro Team rider Casey Stoner finished a hard-fought second in
today's tense, season-ending Valencia Grand Prix watched by an
appreciative 132,500 fans. Loris Capirossi finished his final race for
the team in fifth place after a spirited ride from eighth on the grid.
The race concluded a remarkable season for World Champion Stoner
who has
scored ten victories and a further four podiums from 18 races. The
awesome Aussie scored a tally of 367 points equalling the all-time
points record and putting him an amazing 125 points ahead of series
runner-up Dani Pedrosa, who won today's race. Stoner's stunning run of
victories and Capirossi's Motegi win also helped Ducati to the
constructors' crown and the Ducati Marlboro Team to the teams' title (text and

AWESOME STONER SCORES
HIS TENTH WIN FOR DUCATI MARLBORO TEAM
Ducati Marlboro Team rider
Casey Stoner scorched to his tenth victory of the year in faultless
style at Sepang today, leading every one of the 21 laps and setting the
new record on lap 15. His team-mate Loris Capirossi came home in 11th
place. Stoner got the holeshot from the front row
of the grid and masterfully controlled the entire race, holding a
slender lead over his pursuers Marco Melandri and Dani Pedrosa until he
upped the pace and stretched his advantage. At one point he led by two
seconds, finally crossing the line 1.7 seconds ahead. It was another
remarkable performance from the World Champion who showed his mettle in
sweltering hot and humid conditions (text and

DOMINATES BRNO FOR SEVENTH WIN OF THE SEASON
Ducati Marlboro Team rider
Casey Stoner put in a faultless display in front of 141,000 fans at Brno
today, winning the Czech Grand Prix to extend his World Championship
advantage to 60 points. Team-mate Loris Capirossi came in sixth after an
entertaining tussle with several other riders. It was
another perfect weekend for the awesome Australian who dominated both
days of practice, secured pole position and then led from start to
finish, leaving his rivals floundering in his wake and stretching his
lead in the second half of the 22 laps to beat runner-up John Hopkins by
almost eight seconds. It was Stoner's seventh victory of the year and
his second consecutive success following a similarly dominant
performance at last month's US GP (text and picture by Ducati

DOMINATES LAGUNA, CAPIROSSI OUT OF LUCK
Ducati Team rider Casey
Stoner unleashed a faultless display of riding at Laguna Seca this
afternoon to win his sixth victory of the year and extend his World
Championship lead to 44 points. The Australian grabbed the lead after
the first few corners of the first lap and was never challenged from
there, running away from the pack to win by an emphatic 9.865 seconds.
Today's victory followed a similarly faultless two days of practice and
qualifying - Stoner topped all five pre-race sessions aboard his awesome
Desmosedici GP7. Stoner's weekend-long domination also made him the
first rider to win a MotoGP race from pole position in 13 events. The
last man to score pole and race victory was Loris Capirossi on his
Ducati at last September's Japanese Grand Prix

CAPIROSSI BACK ON THE

Ducati Marlboro Team rider
Loris Capirossi rode a brilliant race to second place in punishing heat
at the Sachsenring this afternoon, while team-mate Casey Stoner came
home in fifth to maintain his lead at the top of the World Championship.
Capirossi chose a different compound rear Bridgestone to Stoner
and the Italian's choice paid dividends in the later stages of the race
when he came through from fourth place to second. The newly resurfaced
Sachsenring is ultra-demanding on tyres and today's ground temperature
of more than 50 degree made tyre choice even more critical than usual

AT TRICKY DONINGTON
Ducati Marlboro Team rider
Casey Stoner continued his remarkable run of performances with a
masterfully judged victory in treacherously slippery conditions at rainy
Donington Park today. Team-mate Loris Capirossi
was charging hard in the late stages when he crashed out of fifth place.
Stoner and his Desmosedici GP7 have proved themselves at all kinds of
racetracks and in all kinds of conditions so far this season - this was
their fifth victory from eight races. The Australian didn't get the best
of starts, entering the first corner in twelfth, but he stayed cool and
cautious until he'd got a good feel for the conditions
